Interesting foraging sign was discovered on October 30, 2009, and four possible double raps were heard nearby during the following week. More foraging sign was discovered on the same tree on January 6, 2010. This foraging sign seems promising since the bark is very tight.



In the above photo, the foraging sign on the right side of the tree was discovered on October 30, 2009. It appeared to be fresh at the time, but the exposed wood had a faded appearance on January 6, 2010, when the photo was obtained. The foraging sign on the left side of the tree appeared to be fresh when discovered on January 6, 2010.
